Job description
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does not convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC). Oversees the cyber protection team operations process, from mission trigger to post-mission assessment, and approves complex mission plans to ensure alignment with commander's intent. Leads liaison efforts with other components, intelligence agencies, and mission partners to deconflict operations, share intelligence, and ensure a unified effort in cyberspace. Provides authoritative advice, guidance, and oversight regarding the policy, planning, and functioning of countermeasures, emerging technologies, and mission assurance functions.
