This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Science & Technology Directorate, Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency. The primary purpose of this position is to develop and deliver effective and sustainable technologies, systems, and capabilities to support homeland security missions and enhance DHS operational effectiveness. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position. As a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-15, your typical work assignments may include: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the division, establishing goals, objectives, and priorities to optimize mission effectiveness and foster a high-performance work environment. Lead and implement comprehensive cyber risk assessment processes, including penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and evaluation of security controls, to identify, document, and mitigate threats to agency systems and data. Provide expert-level technical guidance and troubleshooting for advanced hardware, software, and network issues, including installation, configuration, and preventative maintenance of networking and telecommunication equipment.
