About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Information Technology Directorate, Cyber Security Office, Charlottesville, VA 22911. Serves in the NGIC Cybersecurity Office as the senior technical advisor for cybersecurity architecture supporting the IT Directorate, providing expert advice and recommendations to senior leadership and engineering teams. Directly supports system and software development teams and advises on cyber architecture concerns and mitigations throughout the development lifecycles of a broad portfolio of systems and networks. Leads the design, development and integration with cross-organizational cybersecurity architectures such as Zero-Trust Architecture (ZTA) initiatives, translating technology and regulatory requirements into security designs and processes.
