This position is part of the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Department of Energy. As a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, you will provide advice to the Deputy Chief Information Officer for Cybersecurity and provide senior-level management leadership, guidance, expert advice, and collaboration regarding cybersecurity programs, field sites, laboratories, and oversight of contractors in developing, promoting, and maintaining information assurance security measures. As a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, you will: Direct, lead, and manage the agency's overarching IT cybersecurity (INFOSEC) program, aligning security initiatives, action plans, and milestones with strategic organizational goals. Formulate, implement, and evaluate comprehensive cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure full compliance with federal regulations and security frameworks. Oversee cybersecurity risk management, vulnerability identification, critical asset protection, and the assessment of security impacts from emerging technologies. Direct cybersecurity incident investigations, security control remediations, and corrective actions to safeguard network infrastructure and system postures.
