Job description

This vacancy is for an Information Technology Specialist (Cyber Security) in the Technology Advisory Division, Office of lnformation and Communications Technology and Services (OICTS), Office of the Under Secretary (OUS), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) within the Department of Commerce. As an Information Technology Specialist (Cyber Security), you will perform the following duties: Serve as a technical expert on the facts and issues associated with computer cybersecurity in a wide range of technology and services under the jurisdiction of the Department of Commerce. Serve as the Office liaison with industries on importation, acquisition or uses related to technology and services under the jurisdiction of the Department of Commerce. Integrate U.S. industry's economic/regulatory concerns into the Departments regulations. Develop, revise, and write technical portions of agency guidelines that affect industries and other government agencies.
