Job description
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Professional Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC). Performs assessments of systems and networks, identifies deviations from acceptable configurations or policies, and measures the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture. Conducts threat and vulnerability assessments, determines deviations from acceptable configurations, and recommends appropriate mitigation countermeasures for operational situations Serves as a member of an operational planning team, participating in all facets of crisis action planning phases from mission analysis to course of action development. Provides technical assessments of cyberspace operations, identifies requirements and shortfalls, and provides recommendations to resolve operational needs.
