Job description
You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist in the Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) Information Technology Department (N6) of NAVAVNFCSTCEN. You will be responsible and accountable for performing the full range of supervisory responsibilities for (2) GS-12 civilians, (1) Military E-5, staff performing cybersecurity, portfolio management and service design functions. You will provide direct supervision and professional development activities for personnel. You will supervise, monitor, and administer the work of the division through analysis of workload and available resources, budget and capital planning, personnel management, information technology program management and cybersecurity compliance. You will review, approve, and certify employee schedules, time reports, leave requests, travel requests/vouchers, training requests, and other administrative requests. Disapproved requests are forwarded to the Department Head for final disposition.
