This vacancy is for a GS-2210-12, Information Tech Cyber Security Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, USCG-TECH-CYBER in WASHINGTON District of Columbia. You will serve as a/an Information Tech Cyber Security Specialist and be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing organizational information systems; upgrading legacy systems; and providing program analytical support, guidance, and recommendations in connection with the acquisition of IT for the USCG.. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Providing direct support for acquisitions that use IT (including National Security Systems), applying IT-related laws and policies and providing IT-related guidance throughout the total acquisition lifecycle. Facilitating meetings with the acquisition program and project managers to identify and document all cybersecurity issues and actions, resource requirements, and project planning issues or activities.
