The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the Primary Information System Security Officer for HQ Air Reserve Personnel Center and commander's authority and focal point for Information Assurance. Manages the communication-computer security program, Air Force Electronic Key Management System (AFEKMS), Emission Security and Information Assurance Awareness Programs. Serves as the ARPC technical advisor for all Information Assurance (IA). Serves as ARPC Information System Security Officer (ISSO). Manages all aspects of Information Assurance. Implements and advises on IT security policies and procedures to ensure protection of information transmitted to the ARPC and from the ARPC using Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), the World Wide Web, or other communications modes. Manages the application of Certification and Accreditation standardization technology within the ARPC. Keeps abreast of emerging technology to predict future Information Assurance Security needs.
