Job description
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-DISA-Pacific(PCJ). Serve as the forward representative, providing local visibility of network performance, performing on-site troubleshooting, restoration, and synchronizing incident response efforts such as between the RNOSC, DISA, and mission partners. Act as the forward technical expert for Mission Partner Environment (MPE) and coalition C4 systems, ensuring the interoperability and availability of joint and coalition communication capabilities. Develop, validate, and operationalize primary, alternate, contingency, and emergency (PACE) communications architectures to ensure continuity of operations in degraded, denied, or contested environments.
