This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA OC/CE/PACIFIC FIELD COMMAND (PC33). Leads Real-Time Cyber Defense: Directs real-time threat monitoring, detection, analysis, and incident response across the regional enterprise network. Provides Technical Leadership: Oversees day-to-day security operations, serving as the escalation point for network events; develops training plans, schedules, and mentors Cyber Security Watch Officers and Defense Cyber Operations analysts. Develops Countermeasures and Collaborates: Develops DCO strategies, formulates threat countermeasures, and disseminates critical information alerts to Tier II customers.
