Job description

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A). The primary purpose of this position is responsible for supervising employees who perform a wide range of computer programming, analysis, network, and/or equipment assignments. Develops goals and objectives integrating organization and I&A objectives. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position. As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Risk Management Branch Chief), GS-2210-15, your typical work assignments may include: Acquire and manage the necessary resources, including leadership support, financial resources, and key security personnel, to support information technology (IT) security goals and objectives and reduce overall organizational risk. Manages, directs, and coordinates a program that identifies Federal IT security requirements and develops the strategies that counter evolving threats in a rapidly changing global environment. Establishes and evaluates procedures and methods for determining risk, vulnerabilities, and possible criticism of program operations, performance, and work processes to senior leadership.
