Job description

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Transport Directorate, Enterprise Connections and Boundary Defense Branch. Analyze, engineer, and modernize critical hardware and software assets to secure the Department of War Information Network (DoWIN) infrastructure and boundary capabilities throughout the system lifecycle. Integrate and upgrade advanced architectures, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), and Time-Division Multiplexing (TDM). Provide technical input for systems design, architecture, and end-to-end circuit engineering for DoWIN and global net-centric solutions.
