Selectee(s) will receive a career or career-conditional appointment in the competitive service and may be required to serve a one year probationary period. The official title of this position is General Engineer (Futures Strategy and Policy Analyst) GS-0801-13/14. As a recognized authority in futures planning and strategic foresight, the General Engineer (Futures Strategy and Policy Analyst) will serve as a consultant, technical authority, and subject matter expert on engineering, and an advisor to top level officials. Typical work assignments at the full performance level include, but are not limited to: Developing solutions to complex critical infrastructure problems. Planning and executing complex and sensitive/classified research, analyses, and assessments to support CISA priorities and National Risk Management Center (NRMC) portfolios and task forces.
