This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense. Title 5, United States Code, Section 9905, "Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense. This position is part of the Department of War, War Media Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for developing policies, directives, and guidance to support cybersecurity operational requirements. This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated December 22, 2023. As a IT Specialist (INFOSEC) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Develops policies, programs, and plans related to cybersecurity operations in the TSO area of responsibility to include working directly with agency internal, and external partners.
