About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Recruitment Incentive may be authorized. Relocation Incentive may be authorized. Advanced Leave Accrual may be authorized. Advanced In-hire may be authorized. Provide direct support to the command's Healthcare Risk Manager and Patient Safety Manager. Assist in assessing facility compliance with Defense Health Agency and Joint Commission standards. Review daily operational date for readmission risks. Assist in surveying staff on patient safety culture. Act as an educational resource to foster a culture of safety across the Medical Treatment Facility and its Branch Health Clinics. Prepare official correspondence to support the patient safety policies and procedures.
