Defense Finance and Kontoing Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information. As an Information System Security Officer (ISSO), assists the Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) in meeting their duties and responsibilities. Implements and enforces all DoD Information System (IS) and Platform Information Technology (PIT) system cybersecurity policies and procedures, as defined by cybersecurity-related documentation. Ensures all users have the requisite security clearances and access authorization and are aware of their cybersecurity responsibilities for DoD IS and PIT systems under their purview before granting access to those systems. Conducts fact-finding meetings with customers to identify web page/internet requirements. Researches web technologies to identify and apply new technologies to business practices. Uses programming language (e.g., HTML, Java Script) to develop code for web pages. Tests, debugs, modifies and validates web information before releasing the product to the customer.
